Possible to change default media player?

Hi,
I have the Sprint 6700 and I'm currently running the "clean and simple aku 3.5 for Sprint" rom. I am wondering if it is possible to make my core medi player application the default player so that it opens up whatever I try to play or stream instead of windows media player.

You can do this.

You have to go into the media player, and set file associations.

Options->Settings->Select Page->File Associations

Check the registry forum. there is an edit to make core player as default

How about getting A2DP play/pause functions from the headset to control another media app? Been looking for this for a bit. Anyone find a way?

I looked in the registry forum but I couldn't find the registry hack to make Core Player default. What is the title of the post? I also did a search prior to my first post and haven't come up with anything.
