It is on 2.05. The problem is that when I connect the phone to the USB cable, the phone does not change from serial to USB and the computer does not recognize the phone. I get "USB Device Not Recognized" message.

Oh. I guess I'm a little confused. So now I think you are not stuck in BL. You are using a kitchen, right? Are you using the right RUU? I think for 2.05 you have to use X.04+ or NoID. Are you using Vista/WMDC? If you can try XP/4.5. But you might consider downgrading that BL per the sticky... search for the problems that you might encounter.

no you cannot. When in BL mode and the USB not connected it reads Serial and so when you connect the USB it changes to USB on the screen and this is how you know the PC sees the PPC. If they do not see each other then you cannot make them 'talk' tp each other.

So does Windows (AS/WMDC) give you this message or does the kitchen? I suppose your AS/WMDC could be messed up but you said that you could transfer contacts. Do you have the AS/WMDC setup to use USB? I guess you could delete/remake partnership or reinstall phone drivers??? Just because it worked with another 6700, you do have to have a separate partnership for the other phone because they are totally different devices (Device ID).

Do you have "advanced network functionality" unchecked in "USB to PC" setting?

you have to use mtty to force the phone to use usb, downgrade the bootloader to 2.04, then install the stock rom, and theeeeeeeeeeeeeeen you cook a rom using NOID (no ID). The instructions to run mtty are on the sticky. It worked for me, and I had exactly what happened to me. It's the mtty program that is important because it's what will allow to downgrade and force USB.

Don't forget to right click on activesync in taskbar > connection settings > uncheck allow USB connections. Once you're done mtty, only then re-check the box. ok?

XV6700 stuck BL v1.00 with "extras". Under device info, no radio, no prl, no esn. ActiveSync does not indicate a connection however, the "serial" message on screen changes to "usb" when connected via cradle, or PDA to PC via usb cable (still unable to do date transfer.) Tried the soft/hard reset several times, removed battery for a considerable time. My goal is to unstick bootloader then reinstall radio rom to make phone functional again...then go from there.

Could use some help here. Thanks
