Linux on the PPC-6700 is now here!!!!

http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HTCApache

Here is a link from xda-developers on how to get the ppc 6700 to run linux!!!!, i propose that we drop the 3.5 ports and now work only on this since linux is much better and free!!!

Isn't it going to be a long while before phone functionality is available, or am I mistaken?

From that link I noticed CDMA, EV-DO, Phone application, etc are still not working yet. That will not be a good idea at this time as most people still want to use their phones. It definitely is a working progress as this was something that was thought of early last year. BTW do you still have a 6700?

Couple of months old, I think, and during that time not much progress has been made on getting keys mapped or the phone working.

This would definitely be cool but I'm going to hold my breath. Maybe if the phone worked... Lets just keep plugging away at WM5.
