help! did I screw something up?

I was building a custom ROM for myself - I copied some OEMs from that I found in another ROM that I liked.

I doing so, I copied a Sprint ExtRom onto my Verizon phone.

I reflashed without that, but now I cannot make a data connection.
Did that OEM make any changes on the EVDO side? The VZW provisioning stuff seems unable to set the username/password on the #777 connection (phone#@vzw3g.com/vzw I believe it should be).

quite the screw up on my part - anyone know what might be wrong?

No... Ive been trying to resolve the issue all night. Its something in the 3.5 Kitchen or the sprint ext rom thats not right. Roll back to 3.3 and everything should work fine.

You said something about maybe the sprint extrom not being right - I am a verizon customer and I accidentally installed the Sprint ExtRom - I had sprint connections in the connection manager.

After reflashing without that stuff, it still fails ....

Sorry to be so dense - just want to be sure I understand the reply - have always been able to use the 3.5 kitchen and connections before.

Have you tried to install the lateset "official" update. It is my understanding that on sprint roms at least, they include everything possible. This is what I did when I thought I bricked my phone by not having it in bootloader when flashing,and everything works good now.

I am having the same problem. Though I just got the phone today and installed 3.3 immediately and never had checked contacts till after. The window disappears immediately. Now I am on 3.5 and I have the same problem. Still fumbling through the phone to learn how to hard reset

ok hard reset will fix the problem.. woot.. that was bothering the hell out of me.. just got the phone from ebay.. thought the phone was faulty... god this phone beats the shit out of that treo 700w i have

ROM updated fine, but when I put in the info for the EVDO access (#777, with no username or password) The internet connection states thwe user/pass is wrong....I did a *228 and programmed, yet i now cannot conenct to EVDO. What am i doing wrong?
