I think that at the very least, you're going to be buying a new door.
Pry the cover off and hopefully the battery comes with it. Remove gently with acetone (which can also be found in many nail polish removers). Hopefully you have a battery left... insert and cover with some tape or something until your new door arrives.
I would not suggest dipping the whole phone in acetone. Duh.

I agree that acetone will EAT and discolor the plastic. STAY the hell away from that idea. Prying is the option I would go with and I agree that that tangs on the battery cover should break before anything else. Thats my vote.

I'm really glad I wasn't the only one who didn't know that particular acronym. :) I think I'll just wait until I have to remove it to do so. Maybe I will get lucky and it'll break free on it's own. Thanks for the ideas guys.

what i would try is to put it in a hot car for a coulple of hours maybe it will melt the glue.idk lmao
