Re: mogul rom on apache?

You are correct in finding out you cannot use a 6800 ROM on a 6700. There is totally different hardware in there and you are asking for some big trouble by trying to force it to work. If you are geting errors with the Kitchen then you need to post them so we can help you determine why you are getting them and what they are from.

Re: mogul rom on apache?

Good luck forcing it on there. I already tried with no luck.

i can open build os choose my file and check my selections. then it will build the rom and read my phone. it will succesfully read my phone information and tell me i am going from whatever to whatever. then i hit the update, the phone goes into bootloader and a few seconds later it says windows has encountered a problem with this program and has to close. i have updated build os and it has no effect.

Re: mogul rom on apache?

Yeah, Vista is something of a PITA personally. Try running as Admin as said above tis post or use an XP machine and see what you get.

Re: mogul rom on apache?

ok, i got it to run and go all the way to the update running it as administrator but now instead of telling me it has stopped working it will give me a "error 201:can't get device data" and ask me to exit. It seems though as soon as it puts it into bootloader it loosed it's connection with the pc.

And it will continue to do that as long as you try to flash a 6700 with a 6800 ROM.

Re: mogul rom on apache?

I am not flashing mogul rom on my 6700. i am using the ppc kitchen (build os-latest version) and the helmi 6.1 rom for the apache on my 6700. i have not tried to load the mogul rom on my phone i was just asking because i was curious. when i was told it would not work i stopped thinking about it. now i am using the right rom for the phone i just can't get the phone to stay connected after it goes into bootloader. i did the radio upgrade just fine, and i did a wm 6 upgrade just fine i just can't get build os working all the way through.

Re: mogul rom on apache?

ugh!! i am getting really frustrated i have an old laptopz(xp) that i downloaded build os to because of everyone saying vista gives u problems and i can't get my phone to sync on that one. my phone tells me you need to install activesync 4.5 or higher and the disc that comes with the 6700 gives you 4.1. so everytime i try to install 4.5 it gives me a missing dll error in the middle of installation........

anyone know what the hell causes my phone to loose its connection when it enters bootloader mode on the vista pc. im about ready to shoot my computer and phone.
