Problems receiving files through bluetooth

Hi,

I just got a PPC-6700 from Sprint. I have a lot of problems receiving files through bluetooth. I can send them(.pdf, pics, mp3) but I can't receive them.

Let me mention that I was able to receive files(pics) once through bluetooth but that was it. I haven't been able to receive files ever since.

I have tried to receive files from MACs, T-Dash, Nokia phones; but nothing works. All the devices have been able to see my PPC and they have all been able to successfully pair with my PPC but when they try to send something, it fails.

I don't know if I changed any setting in there but for the life of me I can't figure out what happened. I noticed this problem after I installed Tweaks2k2 3.26.0.0 by Frank J. Garcia. I've combed through all the software's setting but I can't find anything in there either.

Can anyone please help????

Could you go to Start->Settings->System->Device information and tell us what you got?

Then, with upgrades and/or patches you should be ready to pump that ppc full of stuff, via bluetooth... Should that be your end goal.

Go to start, settings, connections tab, beam
is "receive all incoming beams" checked.
If not, that is the problem. I think one of the tweaks from tweaks2k2 disables that as that saves battery power. Report back with your findings.

newb question here...

when you receive a file, how do you tell it to put it on the storage card? By default, mine starts to receive the file, but I don't know where it is putting it, and then it tells me that there is no memory for the file.

Please help - thanks.

thanks.. I wonder if there is a registry hack...

A friend was sending over a 139 MB video file.. obviously, it did not fit into my documents.. I guess the bluetooth file transfer is only good enough for mp3 or other contact info...
