Re: Is The 8GB Mini/Micro Sd Card compatible With The PPC-6700?

I have a 8GB Mini-SDHC that works flawlessly in my 6700 (got it from newegg for ~$35 + shipping). I have WM6.1, but 6.0 should work fine, too. WM5 is iffy.

m using 8GB Micro SD HC card from Sandisk.. its works fine on 6900. no hastle.. the card reader that came with it is very fast.. if you connect to PC then data transfer is very very fast. i think windows 6.0 and above supports 8gb. u need to find whether SD HC is sopported or not.

Re: Is The 8GB Mini/Micro Sd Card compatible With The PPC-6700?

Yes, the 8gb micro will work just fine as long as you have the SDHC drivers loaded. There are issues with using the large capacity cards and certain programs and getting them to store items direct to the card (camera will not store direct to the card unless the card has less than 4gb of space left; or is it less than 2gb; can't recall exactly).
I have had an 8gb micro in my 6700 for 18months or so. Love the storage space. I mostly use it for music and media files (photos and video files). Also have some of my games loaded on the card.

Re: Is The 8GB Mini/Micro Sd Card compatible With The PPC-6700?

Where do I find these drivers?
The guy at the Sprint Store told me it would work in my 6700. Then when it didn't, he made some phone calls and then said it wouldn't work.
So for about a week now, I have been out that money that I paid for it. If anyone has any more info it would be appreciated greatly.

Does class matter? I'm looking at getting the A-Data 8GB MicroSD b/c it comes with an SD and mini-SD adapter. The A-Data is class 6 and the Sandisk is class 4. The class 6 card should be fine in the 6700, right? Since it's only a rating of the max datarate the card can handle, right?

Thanks! I'll jump and get one then....2 GB is just too small....and at $40 after shipping,s that's just amazing how cheap things get. Gosh that's a lot of mem for such little cash.

Those SanDisk mini-sd adapters are pieces of sh*t.
