Re: Stuck In the Windows Mobile Screen
I dont know the answer personally but come on Jabu, either help people out by answering or searching for them. Two heads (or more) and better than one. Persons who dont have a huge post count likely havent been around long or dont log in daily and so they need a bit of help and guidance. There is nothing wrong with assisting people in the seeking of knowlege. It is easy to tell someone to go look for it if you yourself do not know the answer but harder to answer it because you yourself had to search for it and are now sharing the knowlege.
Im not coming at you with sarcasm or being mean, just trying to keep the peace and knowledge flowing. We are all here to learn and tweak. |

Re: Stuck In the Windows Mobile Screen
When did it start doing this? Did this happen after flashing it? Did you recently install new software? If you did flash it, what to WM5 WM6 or WM6.1?

Re: Stuck In the Windows Mobile Screen
Ok so here is the deal, thanks weedahoe for the post about helping btw, I know I don't have that many posts but I generally know what I am doing, pretty tech savy, etc . started doing this about a week ago, this happened out of randomness as I have had the same WM6 RUU from helmi c back in his august release. So basically it has to be the phone dieing because I finally got it to be able to be reflashed by using a differnt PC. I tried all different variations of custom roms, and non acutally booted up. However, the standard verizon WM5 rom did boot up but it only lasted for a few seconds after it boot up till it froze again.
But it is ok now, because the last time I got a replacement phone through verizon insurance company (asurion) they gave me a new in box one, non-refurbished. So it was still covered under verizon's warranty. They just so happened to be out of stock of the 6700's and they said they could not end the phone conversation leaving me phone-less so they are shipping me out a brand new 6800! WOOT! Don't worry I got the old WM5 crap RUU back on there so it is all legit, thanks for your help anyways. |

Re: Stuck In the Windows Mobile Screen
I remember a lot of ppl were having white screen issues from WM6 way back in the beginning but I assumed that was resolved with later releases. I am glad to hear you are getting an upgrade. I got a friend who filed a claim and has VZW and is supposed to also be getting an upgrade and it comes in today so Im waiting to see what it is...... He wants his 67 so he and I may switch.

Re: Stuck In the Windows Mobile Screen
weedahoe: Friend would rather have the 67 over the 68?
I have had a WM6.1 ROM on my 6700 since the kitchen first released. Only white screen I got was when I tried to load a 'cooked' rom using the wrong bootloader (phone has bootloader 1.00 and I had it set in the kitchen app to 1.02).
