Need help installing HTC Apache on XV6700!!!

I've tried intalling several different Custom Roms on my XV6700 and none of them seem to be working. After installing, software asks me to do a soft reset. After doing soft reset. The Phone never seems to work it just says serial and the screen stays black. Am I doing something wrong??? Please help!!!

Roms I tried installing Helmi 3.5, Saridnour Custom 3.5+ pr5, Colonel's Custom 3.5, and Apache Aku 3.5 Verizonguy Beta2.1 with fixed ##Dialer (Verizon).

You are stuck in bootloader mode. Search for a thread called "For those of you stuck in bootloader". Also, you should do a hard reset after install, not just a soft reset.

You need to a hard reset after installing a new rom. You'll have to ignore the on-screen instructions.

You are not trying to install anything. You are just getting the phone out of bootloader mode. Once this is done, you can install a new rom. Try to follow the instructions that are given. It is pretty straight forward. When I get a chance I will try to help more.

ok thanks, when it was stuck in just reinstalled the update from Verizon.com so now its out of bootlegging mode. And back to the original VZW form. Ok should I try to install one of the Apache Roms? Or do I need to do something else first. Like i said when installing the roms. Some of them install but after I do a hard reset tahts when it gets stuck in bootleg mode or whatever. thanks again

Are you putting the phone in bootloader mode before installing? Are you sure you are doing a correct hard reset? Both soft keys and reset. It should turn white and prompt you to press Y on the phone's keyboard.

Ok that might be why its not installing properly or something, Do I suppose to put it in Bootloader mode first or after the install? And yes im sure I did a proper hard reset. After it says clearing now. It just goes back to the black screen and says serial at the tope again, How can I get it to turn back on????
