After struggling with Verizon on my Razr, I switched to my mom's old Razr and it worked fine. So apparently my old Razr AND my 6700 both had hardware issues at the same time....what are the chances?

I have since scored a xv6700 with a broken LCD for $20 on craiglist, transplanted the LCD and now have a working phone again. So it ended up being a hardware problem after all.
