Back to original question though, why don't you like a lock program? Not only will it disable you phone button, but it will disable everything so you are not launching apps and everything else while the phone is in your pocket.

SportbikeRiderXX - perhaps give a newer version of AEB+ a chance... I've heard of lots of people using it so it can't be that bad.
And I'm not aware of any other app to do it... you may want to try to snare a developer over at xda-developers.com if you really insist on having something written to suit your needs... $$ helps. Or just use the lock app like everyone else. Like I said you can make it so that it locks itself automatically, so I'm not sure what the problem is with that method. |
I'd prefer to NOT add another whole program to the phone for a single button task that I'm sure SOMEONE has the knowledge to make happen. I'm trying to keep things trim & light on my device.

The lock app is built in. To automate the locking all you need is OnLock which is very small. I prefer using this app to keep me from bumping the screen or buttons when the phone randomly wakes up. Like I said, you are going to run into more issues other than just the phone button.
