Re: 1x does not allow my to make calls or use data (Alltel)

well bruh I don't have alltel but will try to help as much ls possible.

Try this:
Go to settings)ppersonal tab)phone)services tab)roaming)get settings

check and see if it is set to roaming or automatic. if so then you need to switch it to the network connection which should be alltel. or if there is any other option than those two. if not then you can switch to whichever is not selected.

Also check to see if your phone is not in airplane mode which I highly doubt.

Lastly, go to settings)connections)connections)manage existing connections) and make sure that the device is running on the alltel network there.

Now if none me this works, this problem is most likely radio related.
What you need to do is this:

If you have this problem after flashing a specific rom then you need to go to where ever you got this rom and check to see which radio the rom requires. make sure that if you had to upgrade your radio to use this rom , then that is the radio you are using. if not then you need to flash this radio immediately and that should solve the problem bruh.

Again I say that I DNT have alltel I have sprint and an just trying to help in low way possible bruh. in not totally familiar with the alltel settings so my descriptions me where to find things naw not be totally accurate.

If I HELPED IN ANY WAY PLEASE HIT THAT GREEN THANKS BUTTON FOR ME BRUH.!

Thanks to you in advance and hope you succeed in solving this problem.

YA BOY,
COAST

Are you roaming? I was having connectivity issues on my Alltel Apache, so I called them. The rep. said they are having issues with Sprint towers. He didn't give me any kind of a time frame for a solution, so it could be awhile until it's fixed.

Nope.... I'm not roaming... I have now realized that it has nothing to do with 1x.... just randomly it won't let me make calls. It says it has service but neither data nor calls will work. To fix it all I have to do is a soft reset. Any ideas?
