Bluetooh HID Components

Ok. So I looked through what I could. I can't see anything in the Apache forums for this problem. I just bought a Targus Bluetooth mouse to use with my phone (I'm lazy and don't like to use the stylus for everything). Mouse connects to the computer and works like a charm. So I try to connect it to the phone. Mouse goes into pairing mode. Phone discovers mouse. Password screen comes up and password field is left blank because it doesn't use one. Successful pairing screen flashes before a notification comes up stating the mouse is trying to connect to the phone and do I want to add it to my device list? Yes. New password screen comes up. Need to leave the field blank and continue on, but the next button is greyed out. No choice but to cancel. Mouse is listed as a paired device, but the mouse itself is still flashing pairing mode. No matter what I do, I can't get past the second password screen. ](*,) Can a fix be made for this? Is there something obvious I'm missing or doing wrong? Verizon states that HID profiles (they specify keyboard and mouse are part of this) are included in the aku3 update which means this shouldn't be a problem. Any clues? Anyone?

Are you sure the mouse is compatible with Windows Mobile, e.g. was there cab file for the drivers? Just because it's BT doesn't mean it will work. I've got the "Think Outside" mouse and keyboard and they work fine.

Re: Bluetooh HID Components

There was no mention of Windows Mobile. Just Bluetooth and Notebook. On the requirements it says 2000/XP/Vista Mac OS.X 10+. But with all common bluetooth profiles (a2dp, hsp, hfp, bpp, avrcp etc.), there are certain inherent functions that are supported as basic interfaces. A bluetooth mouse will obviously need cursor movement as well as a button (for Mac, two for PC). These are inherent in the mouse section of the HID profile.
But, that's not my issue. My issue is within the programming of the pairing of a bluetooth object (my mouse just happens to be the one that discovered it). I pair the two just fine (the phone recognizes the mouse, even gives me a little mouse icon next to it). Before the pairing process completes, the mouse sends the connect command to finish it's pairing and the phone freaks out. The mouse needs no password, but the phone says it does and won't let me say otherwise. If the phone allowed me to click next (instead of greying it out), I'd be fine. But it won't. I have to have a password which makes it so I can't pair my mouse. Catch 22. So, I guess I should rephrase my question. Can anyone make a fix to this process that ungreys the button and allows me to finish without a password (since none is needed)?

I'd enter 0000 or 1234 for the passcode and see if it gets you through. You might be interested in this software if the mouse doesn't work...
