Help with WM6 on xv6700

so i successfully loaded WM6 onto my audiovox xv6700 (thanks guys), but now it seems that nothing wants to save. i'll make changes to sound settings and the like, and it doesn't stay for more than a few minutes, if that. is this a bug, or something i can fix myself?
