New ROM causing IE problems

I did the ROm update yesterday and most everything is working quite well with a couple of exceptions.

I use IE to look up images on iStockPhoto, Google or a couple of other sites for ad images. I can go to the sites and view the images just fine, but when I select an image that opens its own page, all I get is the dreaded red x. The same is true for single image viewing at sites like imagevenue and photobucket. If I do a soft reset, it will fix itself for viewing one image, then revert right back to the red x. Clearing the memory and cookies only without a reset does not help.

Once I do get an image to save, my Photos viewer locks up. I have to close all programs and then go and select the file to view.

I really would hate to revert back to the Sprint ROM but I can see this killing me when I am in front of a client and trying to come up with ideas for ads. Can anyone help?

Still tinkering. Some things are different and harder to remove in this kitchen. For example, it's almost impossible to build a ROM that will even boot without MMS. Grr arg.

Jeff,

I tried to download, but it looks like the link is dead.

Thanks.

Nevermind, I found it.

I would suggest using lvmTopBat instead... I started using this and it is much better...

Does Vista Crash for you on disconnect?

Not sure what is causing this, but lately, when I disconnect the 6700 when its still syncing, the PC will blue screen then reboot... I'm using the Clean and Simple for Sprint 3.5 ROM and Vista with the 6.1 Windows Mobile Device Center... I was thinking it might be the mobile Center, but when I uninstalled and reinstalled 6.0, I still had the problem...

Think it might be the ROM?

Jeff, are you using this combination?

I flashed my phone yesterday to this ROM two things I have found that I am not sure I can live with but would keep the Rom if they can be fixed.

1. ring tones do not repeat when call comes in. if I use a 10 sec ring tone it rings for 10 sec and then just leaves the notification up

2. Some calls reach my phone at the last ring before going to voice mail, I know there is a reg edit to make the phone talk to the tower more but with the battery issues of this phone I'm not sure I want to do this reg edit

Other then that so far the Rom is great.

Newbie, One Question

If I install this and do not like it, Will a hard reset bring me to the original Sprint OEM settings?

No. You would need to re-flash back to your original Sprint Rom first. Then Hard Reset.
