Another question - is there a way to make the extended_rom2 bigger than 10MB?

Yes and no, respectively.

Thanks Jeff...... now, based on the post that I inserted above, its this method easy because reading it sure seems complicated.

If I install this upgrade will the phone and power vision still work as usual? I have read posts that indicate that the MSL number is gone.

Thanks

Is anyone having issues with USB and ActiveSync not connecting on Windows XP? This is the first 3.5 ROM that I have found that is stable and close to fully functioning. If I can't figure out how to fix my USB problem, I'm going to be forced to go back to 3.3. Can anyone help?

is there something to delete/rename/SOMETHING to get active sync working with the desktop? i LOVE how fast 3.5 is, but damn, i can't use a usb cable with it :(

I think the Clean and simple for any Apache works a lot better. But it has all the customization stuff in the extendedrom.

for those of you having activesync problems with USB, did you uninstall and reinstall AS?

did you hard reset once or twice right after the AKU 3.5 install?

e-dub 03-07-2007 02:58 AM

i hard reset twice. and i'll unistall and reinstall as.

I think I found a new bug. Under earlier ROMs if my Voice Mail notification got stuck (it happens every now and then) there used to be a setting under the Phone settings that would allow me to turn that flag off. I seem to remember it being in the list along with Time sync, Location Setting, Voice Privacy, etc. But now it is not there....

Any ideas?
