Re: Please Help, My Wifi Is Harm

I don't know but would it help to go through the registry and look for traces of the WeFi? Maybe it still lingers? What do you guys think, Weed and UZ? I think what the guy did to get the CDMA working on "non-CDMA" networks is probably the key and I don't think anyone here would know that trick. We all know that on a "standard" USA setup a hard reset won't affect phone performance.

I already search in almost all the registry, but there's no wefi values or strings, I'll try in the weekend make the hard reset, and I will call the guy that active my phone if there's some trouble, with all the things all you guys say i'm sure that everything's will be ok
thanks for all.

you could be right at this point anything might help...I run a registry cleaner for any bad registry settings left behind from uninstalled programs or and look in HKCU/Software/ or in HKLM/Software some to that effect and delete anything dealing with WEFI.

I had explained that also that here in the USA we dont activate everytime we hardrest cause it does nothing to the programed info stored on the phone it just reloads the o/s, that is what I am also afraid of just as feruccio is...since this is not no regular setup programed phone and we have no idea what his friend did, or he can go line by line and start writing what is programed in the ##778#.

I would also ask the guy dealing with your situation feruccio and ask them if a hardreset will deactive the phone? Does your friend that programed it know of any programs to backup your service?

It is almost coming down to just bite the bullet and do a "hardreset" and see what happens.

Feruccio...please do report back if you do a hardreset and what happened..etc...good luck.

Re: Please Help, My Wifi Is Harm

of course, I'll report everything if someone needs help with a related problem I also find some key to enter phone settings that maybe help someone

##778 seems to be the most informational... gives you the option to just view, edit or cancel. Shows all of the programming options in the phone for NAM, data, etc.. also gives the ESN, MSID, life counters, software version, manufacturer date (Mine says Nov 18th 2005)

##7764726 (##PROGRAM) asks for the unlock code (000000 on Verizon, MSL on Sprint?) and immediately gives you the NAM and EVDO data programming options. Some interesting stuff there that I don't really understand and didn't mess with. Also note that no matter what you do here, it will require a soft reset to get out of this screen even if you don't change anything.

##374 (ERI), gives only one option.. "Update ERI" after you enter the security code... again, requires a soft reset in order to exit this screen

##775 (PRL) same as above but only gives "Update PRL" as an option. Ditto on the soft reset as well.

#4357 (HELP) note the single pound symbol here... This one looks a lot like the ##33284 (DEBUG) in a lot of Sprint phones. Phone #, ESN, Software, PRL, ERI, SID, network, channel, device capabilities, browser info, etc. Nothing really special here.

##3328873 (FEATURE) has already been mentioned before in enabling tethering.

and let me say THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, EVERYBODY REALLY HELP ME, and now the proof of fire to see what happens

Re: Please Help, My Wifi Is Harm

The "MSL code=Unlock Code" is the set of numbers etcc..you need to edit the program section entry..so that you can edit your program settings. for verizon phones it is 000000 and for sprint phones...you need to run the esn on GetSPC to get the msl/unlock code which will be a 6 digit code to enter this is what sprint 67 customers need.

http://www.ziddu.com/download.php?ui...nbg%3D%3D9

d/l the link above for GetSPC...xfer to the phone and run program.

Enter your ESN in the Input area
Hit "GO"
Output will be your MSL/Unlock Code

Dont know if it will work on your phone..but it is worth a try.

or

Just PM me with the ESN and I will PM you back with the 6 digit code to try.

Re: Please Help, My Wifi Is Harm

Just reading through all those support comments on the download page and wondered if you tried the file mentioned by the WeFi support:
Galia Finkelstein wrote ...

Hey all, I work at the help desk at WeFi. Regarding the problem with the automatic connection we have a version fix for it, just run this file and you should be good to go http://wefi.com/static/RestoreZCAutoConnect.exe We don't have experience with the Samsung models but we're working on it. If I can assist with anything else you can drop me a line at support@wefi.com. Thanks for supporting WeFi.

Sounds like a few ppl had the same problems as you after uninstall. I'll keep fingers X-ed for you if you have to do the hard reset. Hopefully, you can get it back without too much trouble/expense...
