Has anyone else notices the FLOOD of threads with issues all having in common WM6.1?

need help! im using an apache 6700, i upgrated to WM 6.1 but i need to downgrade to WM 5.0 for warantee repairs. the problem is that my carrier is Movistar(telefonica) and cant seem to find the original software.... what should i do??

Don't downgrade. They will flash it back. Most of the time they're too stupid to relize. And weedahoe, no kitchen or custom ROM changes bootloader. Only offical ROMs have done that.

Movistar/telefonica never made stock software the way Verizon or Sprint did. You may be out of luck, and if in the case you are, my sympathies :(

You could flash a stock Verizon or Sprint rom then don't let custom trash run and change the boot images...
