What version of 3.5 do you have? I remember having that issue when i was testing schett's sprintextendedOEM. The unicode version does not work so check out the one in the kitchen OEM ftp if this is your issue.

I have that problem with my sprint phone using any of the 3.5 kitchen roms. Not a problem on any of the prepackaged though. Cannot figure it out. It must be something in my ext_rom, but I have tried almost evry version of that I can find. Text messaging works and voice works correctly.

Had the same problem using helmi's 3.3. Soft reset fixed it temporarily everytime. Other then that, I had MS VC6, total commander, Magic button, google maps and pocket controller. I also had just installed wm5torage and wm6 rdp.
After doing a hard reset, I didnt install the last two, and haven't had any problems since, which was about 3 days ago.

I tried using Helmi's and Verizon Guys kitchens. There seems to have been a few threads pop up around this over the past few days, anyone who is knowledgable enough to work this issue out would be the best Not sure what the issue is, but people are reporting installing the prebuilt rom by verizonguy will make it work, but the kitchen rom wont. To bad everyone pissed him off so he cant look at it for us.

Issue Resolved: Refer to http://www.ppcgeeks.com/no-sprint-vi...oms-t3089.html

Need to clear the ext_rom folder and include the OEM in Helmi's kitchen SprintExtendedRomOEM or something like that, forgot the name.

I think that may be the long step.

Short version is, include ohci.dll in OEM folder.
