Yes, this is the problem. I think there are workarounds for vista installs, but I forgot where they are.

Settings/Phone screen frozen

I just installed colonels 3.5 ROM. When i installed the rest of my software i noticed the phone ran very slow and when you pressed a button it took up to 5 minutes for a response. When i went to settings/phone, the screen froze and i noticed my number was not not in the voicemail box and everything else like the ringers box was blank. I did a soft reboot and i went to settings/ phone it everything came back but slowly. sometimes everything is there, sometimes it isnt. the rest of the phone is very slow too. i restored everything to the default doing a hard reset, formatted the SDcard and i am still having a freezing issue under Settings, Phone. anyone else have this issue? I also tried to reinstall the ROM on my phone and its still freezing up. i may try another ROM

Problem downloading

Hey all,

I was trying to install the C&S 3.5 onto my 6700 last night and kept getting an error message when I was trying to extract the .rar. The message was " unexpected ending". I tried to redownload and also download some of the other 3.5 ROMs listed with similar messages or "files corrupt please try to redownload" I am really interested in trying the C&S. I currently have the colonels 3.3 and love the interface but I think there is too much on it for my needs and I have noticed a slow down in the system, also every time I soft reset more and more of the memory is used.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can get the C&S, or any of the other ROMs to work...I am looking to see if I can find one to fit my usage of the phone.

I'll put dates and times on these. I'm going to redo the entire sticky in a little bit. As well as update and double check CRC's of all the roms.

I'm kinda waiting for the newest stuff to come out from the coolest people.

With the recent release of a new ROM kitchen, the structure of the FTP was revised. This broke the links here. If you poke though the FTP most things should still be there.
