Logmein.com and Saridnours AKU 3.3x+ Rom

I got these to work together. I had problems with IE downloading the CAB for the remote control client. I used Opera to get the CAB, and then installed manually to the PPC. Then went to logmein.com using IE and was able to get in.

I'm attaching the logmein.com CAB file for those who need it.

Re: Logmein.com and Saridnours AKU 3.3x+ Rom

I was blown away when I found this app. I've been using the full blown Windows version for a few weeks to help friends with their PCs. I had no idea that there was a version for the pocketpc. It's like TS client on steroids! I couldn't play with it too much tonight, as I broke my stylus earlier trying to bend it. I just wish I could purchase the server side LogMeIn app to run on my own server, in case they ever go under.

BTW, are there any decent 3rd party stylus that don't get loose and fall out like the stock 6700 ones?

Thanks,

Mike

I've been using Gotomypc.com for my work computer and I remote in on my 6700.. it's very similar to logmein.

I've been using the seidio pen + stylus and it's been working fine.. and you have the added bonus of always having a pen on you.

Re: Logmein.com and Saridnours AKU 3.3x+ Rom

I've heard good things about Gotomypc. A friend used to use it to remote to his home PC while at work. LogMeIn has been free for me so far, which is nice. Not sure how limited it will be when the trial expires.

I was just looking at that stylus last night. Does it stay inside the 6700 okay? Any problems with the pen cap coming off when pulling it out of the 6700? I just ordered the 3200mah battery from them the other day, hopefully it will be here soon...

Thanks,

Mike

it's pretty secure.. the pen cap stays on tight.. I've had mine for quite a while now. the only time it would slide out is if I hook it (I have the belt clip from seidio and sometimes the phone gets caught on something)

I managed to pick up two extra stylus yesterday. I hate to say it, but some of our users are going back to BlackBerry's.

You need to get an account from LogMeIn.com and point your PIE to LogMeIn.com to launch the program from there.
