PPC 6700 sms problem

I know this has probably been discussed, but I can't find the thread. I'm having problem receiving sms on my phone. I get messages, but it doesn't show me who's texting me. It will have a word in the place where a call back number or contact name should be. Can someone help me fix this problem.

this is a common problem when you let the custom run during a hardreset.....backup your contacts...do a hardreset...there will be a part when it starts to count down before the custom start....do a soft reset at that point and you should be fine.

The "Advance" search..works much better then the "Basic".
