No SMS alert - vibrate only

Ringer works fine. Sms arrives normally and ph vibrates but no audible alert.

Alert is activated in notifications, and the preview plays fine, just doesn't sound when a message arrives.

It used to work fine.

Using a WM6 build using BuildOS.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Re: No SMS alert - vibrate only

Have you tried adding any of your own tones and changed them to that and see if those will work and not use the OEM tones?

Re: No SMS alert - vibrate only

No havn't tried that. I'm thinking it is either a registry problem, or a hard reset required.

Could it have anything to do with recently upgrading the radio to Phoenix's 1.41

Re: No SMS alert - vibrate only

It should have nothing to do with a radio upgrade as they are two different things. Do you know how to add tones and change them? Do you have any or need any? I have lots if you do and need something to try.

Re: No SMS alert - vibrate only

I too was sure that the radio shouldn't afect it, but just to see, I went to radio 1.43, and then calls worked fine but I could not receive sms at all. So I went back to 1.41 and did a hard reset. All is well again.

If it happens again, I'll try and find out what's causing it.
