Trying to create cust icons for upper top and bttm bars
So I am wanting to customize the interface by changing some of the icons for battery, esdn, volume etc. I dont want to use any 3rd party programs like wisbar.

Where are these icons located and how do I swap them out. I have done this before on my Motorola V551 can you do it within WM5?

u can use reshacker to replace icons in exes and dlls.

What .exe or .dll would the esdn and volume icon be in?

It seems that most of the icons are in the windows folder as bitmaps, I will try just replacing them and see what happens. I'll let you know.

Well, I tried changing and replacing one of the bitmaps and it didnt seem to do anything.

shouldn't be bitmaps. they should be .ico files.

Yup, a few times

Wide, I am learning that they are contained in a .dll called shellreg. If that is the case then why are there .bmp files of a bunch of system graphics in the windows folder? Are they nessisary? changing them seems to have no effect.
