You can. If you have outlook or outlook express at the desktop, simply get emoze (it's free) and you will get true push email. (or if you have verizon you can use that as well)

If yes, then any special applicatrion is needed or the ppc has a built in feature.

you can sign up for a free mail2web exchange account and set one or more accounts to forward to your mail2web account..

As someone that had been using emoze for a while, i just switched to mail2web, and I can tell you that it is much better for push email. You dont have to have your computer running or outlook running to receive your email. Also, with mail2web any changes made to contacts, calendar or email is instantly synced. There is no extra software to download or install on the computer or pda as it is an exchange server, and if you have attachments that are too big or just simply want to check your mail on any computer, you can access mail2web with outlook web access, whereas you have to be at your computer to check that email or so if you were using emoze.
Point for emoze is that it is totally free, whereas if you want to use your original email address to reply you will have to upgrade to $1.99/month personal exchange and set up proxy address, (i personally, didnt mind the upgrade) otherwise when you send or reply emails it will say yourUserName@mail2web.com If you have any more questions you can search for the push email for 6700 thread. Wideawake started that thread.

the only thing with setting up hotmail/yahoo/gmail to forward to your mail2web account is that when you send emails it comes from your mail2web account..

You can try Verizon Wireless Sync (if you have Verizon) or emoze if you want "push" email with those free webmail accounts

Ok. I kind of covered that in my previous post. You can change your reply from address by setting up proxy addresses in web2mail. You just have to upgrade to the $1.99/month personal exhange mail. Its very well worth the price.

Hotmail is not supported by emoze. At least when I go to the website and select other then try to download it says other is not supported. Hotmail is not an option to select. Any help. Thanks.

The only thing I can suggest is for you to try windows live messenger. click on this thread to learn a little and also download it for trial.

I tried using emoze, and I really liked it, but unfortunately it didn't grab all of my calendar appointments from my Lotus notes calendar. Email was no problem, but I have to have my calendar accurate.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'd love to use emoze, but I'd have to get a fix for this issue first.

I did and kept on getting duplicate calendar events too. Another reason why I switched to mail2web, gone are those days. I used emoze for about 3-4 months too and was pretty happy till i decided to check on mail2web and I will never be going back.
