Man finally got home and tested. Both my OEM cable and RadioShack retractable cable are bad. I have no idea how both cables can go bad at the same time. Thank you everyone for giving me ideas for the fix. I guess I can go buy a new retractable but my digi cam's cable is going to have to work for now.

Damn thats unlucky, but at least you figured it out, its odd that both are bad, but def take the oem back to the shop and have them swap it, for that matter radio shacks too dont let them keep you down! haha, but hey at least you're good now right?
