Re: Mms Help

I'm not sure, I know some people have had issues with Cricket WAP and all that. IMHO, Cricket is too cheap of a carrier to try to run a Pocket PC on. Maybe KCLive can help as I think he has MMS working on Cricket.

Did i miss a step in this.
If you are on Cricket and you are getting the above error you will need to use file explorer and delete the IOTA file folder. Do NOT look for this folder in the registry, it will be an actual folder on your phone. That is what is giving you the above error.

Re: Mms Help

I had that same problem and it drove me nuts. I can't remember who it was, but someone gave me that solution and it worked, so I figured why not share the wealth?

Nope, seems like the phones windows directory is a read only dir.

You should have an IOTA folder somewhere in the phone itself. I am sorry, but I don't remember exactley where it is at. Maybe someone with Sprint can help with that. I know that once I found the folder I was able to hold my stylus on it and a menu came up with delete as an option. Once I deleted that folder my mms worked just fine.

I will try to do some searching and see if I cant find where that folder was/is.

Re: Mms Help

I just realized that it was Sprint phones that have the IOTA folder, not sure about Verizon. I am not sure, but am thinking that when I flashed this phone I left out Arcsoft on purpose and then downloaded Arcsoft from here and installed it without any preloaded Carrier info. Then followed a mms thread to set it up with Cricket and it seemed to work fine for me.

Anyway, just glad you got it working.
