sfaure03,
What backup directory did you want me to remove from the zip file? i tried to clean it up before posting it, but i could easily have missed some with all the ROM folders I have on my comp at the moment
Ok, I'm really stumped now. Did the \Program Files\IOTA directory (and files) get created? I verified that the provxml file is ok (at least it's correct XML) but I am wondering if somehow some permissions are not there, so it cannot even load everything it needs.

I still don't know if the guy who's having success with it is running 3.3 or 3.5, If he's running 3.3, then that could be a difference, as I note 3.5 does not have helmi's provxml (ie, your version) and I am pretty sure helmi did some stuff in there cert/permissions wise.

I suppose some of the stuff i'm changing to work on the USB could be an issue, but i'm not sure how that could be. It's great news that you are able to get it going on the 3.5 version i have posted though. If i can figure out how to get the USB working i'll make sure not to let it affect using this package.

As for the USB progress, i was able to get a driver loaded so that it connected in diagnostic mode. It then asked for drivers on the PC which i don't have and it wasn't going to activesync, but i suppose that could be a step. Main thing is i'm not giving up!

It looks like the Apache Folder is back up on the XDA FTP server. I PM'd Helmi and asked him if he would send us the kitchen based upon the .exe folder, since the build was different. I can't tell whether the files on there now are different than what we had before or not.

The 3.5 says it is Hemli Apache 3.5 build 5 and is dated 1/22/07---

IMCOKEMAN, is that what you are working off of?

The 3.3 kitchen folder is dated 1/27/07. Is that the same one we already have????

no, that is just the .nbf from when wideawake and Helmi_c were working on 3.5 (before they released the 3.3). It's not a kitchen. I was using the Helmi 3.5 BA kitchen and the 3.3 apache kitchens to get the one i'm working on now.

yes that 3.3 kitchen is the one that was posted on PPCGeeks (as far as date and size are concerned at least)

so, though, it is a 3.5 hemi was doing. have we tried loading that to see if it resolves the usb? then we could dump the rom image and compare files and registry entries. Might be a fast path to solution.

I was getting ready to actually run a diff against the 3.3 and 3.5 registries anyway and see if there was anthing useful.

JimmyGreenBatteryFixOEM

All the different battery icon guys should be the same as this one - very simple, only 40k for ROM.

looks to me that the bluetooth issues getting where you cannot turn it on and off also happen on helmi's originally released rom {and the colonels rom as of last night} as well as with the 3.3 kitchen. It seems to be related to when the device goes into/out of sleep, probably some power management issues. I'm wondering if the kitchen might make it worse because the boot.hv is loaded from an image in then kitchen?

Voicecommand

Anybody successfully create a voicecommand OEM and cook it? I created one about 2 days ago that seems to have compiled to the .nba without any problem, but I haven't had time to flash it yet. I was just wondering if anybody had done so successfully.
