Yep, that's the one. Great program, you can use the d-pad to move down to it on the Today screen, then left and right to select the profile.

All of the versions of .Net Ive used (on the ftp) don't seem to work. I believe it's something to do with the order of installation and over writing existing files. My workaround is just install from .cab into the ext_rom. Even though the install says it fails and no space is used in the ext_rom .Net then works.

this is true, if you dig deep enough though youll see that if your going to use one on the FTP (mine is a combined 1 & 2 if i remember) youll need to go into the OS folder & delete folder

38f43c9f-bc38-430e-81d1-a2e6c650f225

This folder holds some half-ass DLL's that will conflict with your CreateOS when trying to use an OEM of .NET (im not sure why they are there, or if they are for the kitchens install of .NET1)

i have not tested dropping all of the NET2 dll's into that folder and see if it will install a working .NET2.... may be worth a shot though,

I ramble... anyways, if your going to OEM .NET then make sure you delete that folder in the OS before create-os (or back it up somewhere)

if you use my package, and delete that file youll have no problems, every OEM i am posting up has been tested to work properly... albeit a billion flashes ><

Unfortunately it just moved the over write error further along in the process.

can anyone help me in making a kitchen oem for usb modem for pocket pc http://www.mobile-stream.com/usbmodem_wm.html I wanna pack this into my Kitchen rom and delete wmodem because wmodem doesnt work with USB so I can have usb modem and internet connection sharing both built into rom and delete wmmodem completely.

schettj 02-24-2007 12:51 AM

wmodem dosen't work with USB? I thought it did.

jayz11 02-24-2007 02:19 AM

Ok Im really confused by all the different tethering options and which ones works. On the build I am using (IMCokeMan/Sfaure 3.5) the only thing that works is Internet Sharing.

"Wireless Modem" gives an "COM OPEN ERROR", and "Modem Link" is a dead link (which points to ATCIUI.exe???). I believe several others have had the same problem.

I'm ok just using internet sharing, since its the faster than bluetooth. But is there a consensus on whether theres a fix for these other two other things. If not I'd rather just clear out this junk... not gonna save a lot of space, but I hate useless links cluttering my menus.

BTW, is there any advantage to using USB modem over internet sharing?

mcq3000 02-24-2007 02:43 AM

usb modem works with bluetooth, that is why I want to have usbmodem and internet sharing, and get rid of wmodem
