Activesync cannot acquire ip address

I am able to connect via Activesync to my exchange server no problem with my cooked 3.3 rom. However, I am now unable to connect via desktop. It keeps getting hung up with an error message that it cannot acquire an IP address. I ran a cmd line ipconfig/all and it shows that the device is recognized, but IP address is 0.0.0.0.

Anybody have any suggestions short of yet another hard reset?

Ok, I put the phone in flight mode (so that there was no evdo connection to shutdown before activesync started) and that worked. That makes me think that my EVDO connection is stuck in "always on" mode. Going to check the registry setting.

EDIT: Ok, this is bizarre. I went to the registry settings and "always on" is set to 0 (off). However, when I got to wireless conn manager and try to shutdown data services, its stops it, then automatically starts right back up.

Anyone else having this problem on 3.3?
