Weird AKU 3.3 problem

Verizon XV6700. AKU 3.3. Didn't allow any of the Verizon extended ROM stuff to load. Fixed Smart Dialer & the Pictures app. Running flawlessly now for several days....and it's sweet!

Anyway, the only thing that's not quite right are low battery notifications. They appear as a single text line at the bottom left, titled "Notification". There's no other pop-up or battery icon up by the clock. If I select the Notification text, it of course warns me about the battery. The only time I see an actual battery icon is when the unit turns off Wi-Fi due to a low battery.

All of this is fine and all, but what's really weird is that if a text message arrives when the battery is low, an icon WILL appear at the top notification area, but it will be an envelope icon! That is, I've already read the text message, there's the "Notification" text at the bottom for the battery, and an envelope icon up top. There are no unread text messages, and when I acknowledge the battery warning, the envelope icon goes away!

What really threw me last night was after using Voice Command (with a low battery), the low battery notification took the form of the Voice Command icon! Very strange. Is anyone else seeing this? What does your 6700 do for low battery notifications?

I have the xv6700 and have not seen the problems you mentioned. I'm curious to why you did not let the external ROMs load after the flash. Its not even that big compared to the Sprint junk.

I was seeing both of these problems, and I was also having problems making outgoing phone calls sometimes - when I tired to make a call, sometimes it would give me an error saying cannot complete the call, check reception, and I had full bars.
So I updated with AKU 3.3 again, and it seems to have fixed the in call error, but not the notification error.

If you're running a stock ROM, you're _supposed_ to let the customizations run. It's only kitchen based ROMs where you aren't supposed to let the customizations run.
