Another wierd thing was that the right led was showing yellow, ie charging.
Checked the battery level it was at 90%
I had charged it before going to bed, and unplugged it.

i had the same issue, when the phone locks my alarm wouldn't go off.. so i turned the lock off and now the alarm works everytime..
