Well, perhaps I spoke too soon. I thought for sure I knew how to easily restore email settings, but apparantly I had this confused with something else. Doing other settings is cake. But, now I am on a mission to figure this email thing out. I just need to figure out where the account settings are stored. Since Sprite and SPB backup can restore it, it has to be possible. I just need to find it.

i cant get mms to work properly either. its different from wat it used to be. can someone with a reg. sprint rom send me the getmail cab file so i can see if thats the reason y it won't display properly. thanks for the rom colonel

i have been using the ppcgeeks sprint mms cab with all these roms and havent had any problems. I dont have the sprint getmail cab in the extended rom either. which mms are u using or trying to use?

colonel 02-02-2007 10:29 PM

@#$%@@$@$, I have forgotten to put MMS back into this @@#$# thing. Meant to do that a long time ago.

naigaboy 02-02-2007 10:34 PM

i forgot to mention that to you too. I should take some of that @#$%^&*&*_). Alright got it. Please make sure you put MMS in the next release.

I assume you were just talking about this one.

Question though, if this is in the Rom will it jack with Verizon users. Its just the Verizon app right. I assume that the ExtRom for Verizon would overwrite any registry entries I make. Guess I will give it a whirl.

getmeoutofhere 02-02-2007 10:46 PM

i know about the mms program. that is for sending. i am talking about receiving pictures and video. i cant really save the pictures right. it opens to the desktop version when u try to open it for on ur ppc. thats y i want to try installing the getmail cab file on the original ext rom see if that is the reason. but i have the no junk sprint rom

Colonel,

I tried disabling the smart dialer using the HKLM/Security/Phone/Skin/0 regedit and the skin goes away, but my phone still won't take the MSL code. I have to go to "Remove Programs" and completely remove the skin to allow my phone to take the MSL code. Just wanted to let you know, thanks for the hard work.

What did you remove? There shouldn't be anything in there dealing with the dialer. Unless it is something that a Sprint cab puts in. On a fresh install without ExtRom, I only have two programs in Remove Programs. One is nullkeyboard and the other is the Mark All as Read app.

Is the beta 3 uploaded yet?

Thanx
