For a nice skin to comliment the OS,
I check phoneskin links suggested and others.
So far the kokos skin looks most polished to me over at pdaphonehome site.
Specifically this one:
If you see better please let me know :)

Edit: actually I meant the silver gold skin.

Anybody start a support ticket with iNav on this? I know they'll tell us to bite wind since it's not an "official" rom.

Todd/Indy

I'm on XV6700 maybe it's just a bug on PPC6700

Did you delete sdmemory.dll in the windows directory. that prevents the sd card disappearing. iam not sure bout the other problem. wat version is your radio?

I can't delete that file because it says it's a system file. I'm using Total Commander. I tried several times.

I have the most recent radio. 1.27.00

Same problem with the EVDO cutting out. Its like the phone loses its connection completely. I only noticed this when I was at my home where I typically get 1-2 bars, not the greatest coverage, but it nomally won't disconnect like that. At the office (where I have 3-4 bars) it was just fine though. I had to roll back to the official 2.2 verson. I need my phone while at home to stay connected.

Can you help me with making it into a module that I can add to my kitchen?

Absolutely. Can you wait til tomorrow? Getting ready to head out for the evening.

Hey I am new to the phone but I love the 3.3 I have played with it all day! There are some things I would like to be able to remove but for the most part it is awesome! Did anyone ever make an install for the voice dialing??? I used it quite a lot.

Flashlight softkey remap

Can someone please let me know how to remap the soft key back to sayflashlight? I installed palm threaded text cab, and it changed the left soft key to say SMS. Thanks.

Vista sync?

Has anyone been able to sync with Vista with this ROM?
I do have the 'new' Windows Mobile Sync Center that was released yesterday, it just doesn't recognize the ppc.
Thanks...........

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\112

Default = Button text
Open = App to run

So...change Default to "Flashlight"
and Open to "VJCandelaLite.exe"

I figured I would give everyone an update on my progress. I have installed the 3.3 rom. Everything went perfectly. I actually needed to install it 3 times. I messed up the first 2 don’t ask! My fault. On the first reboot after each install it would add the phone stuff and some of the others. But when everything was done and it reset the memory was not that grate. I only had like 10mb free. This was disappointing but then after I did a soft reset I had 35mb free for storage and 33 free for running apps. This is GREAT! I installed all my software and everything works very well. I love it so far it is fast my battery usually runs around 80ma to 90 ma without anything running just idle. Don’t know if this is good or not because I didn’t know what it was like before.

Some things I think could improve
Some of the applications I would like to remove. Like the 6700 hacks and the O2 calendar and some of the others. I want the ability to have a “Fresh” system if I want then I would like the choice to add and remove this software. It would be nice to have a package with nothing it in but the basic functions of the phone. Now I don’t know if this will save space on the HDD or not but it might help. Just a “Bare bones” system. Or at least give us the option in the “remove programs” to remove the stuff we don’t want.

It would be nice to have voice dial again. It was the one thing that I used a lot before. And to have the messages more like the Treo 700p where they looked more like an IM instead of email. That makes them easer to keep track of.

These are some of my ideas and thoughts. I wish that I knew more about this OS. I might start playing with it a little at a time.

Oh and one more quick comment. I can’t get the USB drivers to work for the modem on my computer. I am using Windows XP Pro and it says that it does not recognize the hardware attached. Anyone else having the trouble?
