colonel, now you've opened the floodgates ;)

I second the suggestions for both pocketxpdf and vjlumosii.

I also use vjcandela (flashlight app) but I've heard "flashlight" mentioned in connection with your 3.3 rom (I haven't installed it yet--waiting on Beta2) so that may be redundant.

Thanks!

Ok just making a last report from my last flash (did 2 yesterday and made notes). Colonel this has been a very stable rom so far for me (deleted the sdmemory.dll and qcet.dll files only the last flash).
data disconnects after its done by itself, no longer have to manually disconnect or guess wether its dormant or active.
mapped ms VC to button 5(press & hold) and use button 1 for gspocket. also using ID transfer which works great with vc, dont have any problems watsoever with bt headset catching calls after ppc is in suspend mode.
also noticed, we can no longer map button 5 to anything at all.
havent had any problems with high battery consumption (all night with some occasional phn use, still at 80% by this morning)
def love the buzz sound, now i use the alarm function of the phn again.
havent had to hard reset or soft reset yet (thinking of going a whole week without flashing or hard reset, but will def have your new release in hand cos i know its going to have some more good stuff)
TCPMP needs mp4 audio codecs, i have it and can make available if need be.
check notifications and clear notify is a must have for removing duplicate notifications and scripts.
Iguidance still crashes when you touch the screen in full screen mode. other than that, it runs very well.
is it possible to add some other themes in the rom like classic black (my pref for now)
BTW how is palm threading working for you, have you tried it? Still no conflicts or problems with mine.

Thanks for the good work and keep it up sir. To all others involved, many thanks to u 2.

Ive been having problems/conflicts with the palm threading/eten dialer (from paulya)....havent quite nailed it down, but am just winging it without either one. if anyone has some light to shed on this, by all means please do, I can do without the dialer, but I believe the Palm Threading app is a must have item

I agree with having psSHUT in the ROM, but as for the others, I say let customizing the ROM to that detail be left up to the user. Memory is a valuable commodity for this device and I know that it will be in the ROM, but for someone like me who doesn't use all of those programs, they still take up storage space.

And thanks Colonel for all of the hard work. Downloaded your Beta 1, but will wait for Beta 2 now! :D

OK , got me a little problem I just discovered

When I go to access the options for the phone & when I go to send a text message (OEM messaging) it gives me this message:

http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...line/phone.jpg

I wait the 15 seconds, and nada man....so Im pretty much stuck without text messages for now.

Any help would be very appreciated

On a different note, I used a phone profile switching program (found here) and it does not seem to work with 3.3. Basically what happens is on soft reset, the today screen does not load any plugins. I have posted in the program's forums, but since this is a cooked ROM, I realize there might be things the author does not know about. Any ideas?

Colonel - I posted this in the 3.3 problems thread, but since you are the rising star right now, I figured that I would lob this your way and see if you could help me out!

I am having a problem still which I thought had to do with the sprint rom, but after testing it, it appears this is not the case.

The issue is if I try connecting to the internet it dials #777 but then I get an error message back

"Dialed: #777

No modem at above number. To check your connection setting and change them if needed, tap settings."

In addition if I dial *228 I get message that the feature code is not valid" its almost like I am on the wrong network or something.

Any ideas?

I had to go into Phone/menu/options/services/network service/get settings/and select automatic or automatic B.

Mitch

Never mind, found what I was looking for... Helped if I typed the word I was searching for correctly. :)

All day today after I receive a text I then cannot make a call and must soft reset.

I have a few Cab suggestions you might want in there.

How about:
DavidGelb_Bbeach_Phonev.1.0_PPC6700.cab
PocketXpdf_0.5.0.CAB

Here is a folder with some freeware:
2nullkb.PP3_CEF.CAB = (so soft keyboard won't pop up)
BatteryStatus.0.04.CAB = (nice battery image with CPU speed )
Batti-1.3.arm.CAB = (simple batery bar top edge of screen)
ClearTemp.cab = (simple prog for IE files only )
psshutxp_eng.xscale.cab = (reset program, nice looking)
VIBRATEPHONEKEYS.cab = (great vibration feedback 4 when your punching a phone number in )
VJLumosII.cab = ( nice brightness boost for screen)
wmpstatusplugincab.cab =(nice wmp Today screen plugin)

Was going to put them in my Extrom anyways :)

Personally- except for PocketXpdf (and I dont even know what DavidGelb_Bbeach_Phonev.1.0_PPC6700 is), but I don't want any of the other ones in a ROM on my phone. I JUST don't need them. I like simplicity. Maybe your Ext. Rom is a good place for them. :)

I definitely love the CF 2 and Total Commander Integration. Thanx Colonel
