colonel/others:
I just "discovered" the arcsoft MMS app (didn't know this phone could to MMS :D) Couple of Q's... Should the MMS app be "contact aware" (e.g. type in part of a name or number in your contacts list and arcsoft MMS will recongnize/offer auto-complete options)? Since MMS isn't specifically part of Sprint's offerigs for the 6700, do they cost extra? Sorry to be so late to the party ;) TIA, Todd/Indy |
You need to have a picture/video mail package on your account--otherwise you will get charged per message.
As a result of that, I don't use MMS, so I can't help you with the other stuff. |
any other feedback appreciated (esp. about the "contacts awareness") guess I paid Sprint to test this and It sent a very good MMS to my bro's 8525 ;)

I know I'm way behind the curve on this, but... anybody?
TIA, Todd/Indy |
I just downloaded Col3.3beta3SprintNoJunk.zip
and when opening with WinZip I'm told that it is not a valid archive -- I see it is much smaller than the other versions -- is this file perhaps defective? |
verizon's wireless sync
colonel,
First, thank you for all your effort in ROM building. You've taken the most expensive paper weight I've ever purchased and made it a tool that I could not live without. Thank you! (I think...) I am currently running Beta 2 (I realize there is a Beta 3 just have not had the time yet). I use verizon's wireless sync for e-mail. If I use the push feature I get my messages fine, but my battery does not last long (less than half a day). When I use readysync set to retrieve every 1 hr, sometimes it will connect and retrieve others it will not. Also, I cannot seem to get wireless sync to close after I go to the main screen (I cannot even stop it from running in the memory menu). The main wireless sync screen is also missing all of the information that was there with the previous factory ROM. I am wondering if anything may have changed in the registry side of things or am I running into a software incompatibality issue. Is anyone aware of a wireless sync generation that is designed to work with 3.x? I appreciate the help and feedback. |
royals, use the battery meter that is included to check your usage over a period of time and report those numbers. AKU 3.x has "Direct Push Technology". This changes the way the data connection is viewed. As far as your screen missing stuff, this has been reported by others. It should not be affecting the actual sync, but I do not have a fix at this time.

Maybe your dial plan has them included. I have been charged for sending and receiving them.
