Can someone please help

Hello All, I have a stock xv6700. For my b-day I got a bluetooth stereo headset. I understand that I need to upgrade my ROM in order to be able to use these when listing to music. I tried to do the upgrade myself but with no luck. I downloaded the robmayer VERIZON B7 but for some reason it did not take to my phone. I've been reading that there are two different versions of my phone. I have the G3 with the bootloader 1.04. Can someone please help me with this upgrade? Thanks so much!!

Remember, search, search and search some more, then google, then ask.

Re: Can someone please help

bkhoste, your link provides no real specific answer for the OP. However I do agree that searching and reading is best although sometimes it can be a bit stressful and confusing. This is why people ask for help, assistance and guidance.

As for datalife, there are many threads here on different ROMs that people have built and customized. I myself have my own preference and what I use is in my signature. I have a flawless and smooth setup with no BSoD (Black Screen of Death). Installing the ROM on the device is far more simple that most people think and again, there are may threads on this.

Most of your newer and custom ROMs will have A2DP installed for the use of the BT stereo headsets. However, it is good to provide us with that brand and model you have as someone else may have the same one and be of more help to you. If you need more help then ask but do try to read some as well.

I have a vz xv6700, the sound is completely gone when making and receiving calls. I am looking for an easy to put the original junk back on it before taking it back to Verizon. Good instructions would be helpful too.

Try some headphones on the headphone jack...do you hear sound....sometimes the contact get stuck..when this jack is used....if you do have sound...try inserting/removing numerous times...maybe to loosen the connection.

You should post your question where you got your ROM from:

It is very likely that other Geeks went through your same challenge, and will have a quick answer for you.

Re: Can someone please help

Thanks for the replies. The rom did not cause the problem. It is worked for months with no problems. I have even changed the rom on it. I am just looking for a quick and easy way to add the verizon stuff back, before I take it back to Verizon. If I am posting in the wrong area could someone point me to the right one? Sound is present with headphones\BT.

Sound like your headphone jack.....is "jacked up" and will not release to normal mode with headset removed

If you are talking about the Verizon WM5 rom...here is the link

APA_VZW_20720_206_11000_WWE_Ship.exe <---D/L this rom.

Re: Can someone please help

Hey acc3366:

I know this might be simple, but did you turn off the bluetooth device AND turn off the bluetooth connection on the 6700?
