No, you rename the files in the windows root dir.
Then explore to the windows/OEM dir. Copy those two files and past in the /windows dir it will overwrite in the windows root directory with a nasty warning. Should not have any issues with that process. |

What I need to know now is what should I do since I have the triplicate files and cannot delete anything. I don't even have anything in the OEM dir anymore. Can you please email me the files? |

The two needed files attached in case anyone somehow nixed off their oem directory.

Do we still need to rename anything to .bak?
It doesn't seem that we do according to the instructions in the zip file. |
Those that have the xv6700?
did you loose voicemail on the 1 key. No speeddial for #1 either. Is this somewhere in the registry perhaps. |
Oh and what about the ones with the same name, but the underscore "_" after it?

I think those files are older files that were in the original OS.

I finally got it working. thanx all! :)

Alwaysbelieve1, I apologize if those directions may have confused you at all. However, Mike commented earlier in this thread it's perfectly safe to just overwrite those two in \windows with the oem ones (which are what I put in the zip file). I'd presume the originals in \windows are simply older/outdated thus why we were having those problems (either outdated or too new... could really be either or).

Am I the only VZW user who doesnt have voicemail on speeddial 1. I cant even manually assign it. 1 is not available to me. It starts with 2.
Feel free to chime in. |
