What is the newest rom version number out for out devices? How about newest Radio rom?

click on start, settings, system tab, about
on the second line after OS, check the build. mine is 14928.2.2.0. hence the 2.2

I see.

So, the way I understand it, AKUs are like Service Packs for XP. So if I install it, will it require a hard reset of the device? I'm guessing so...and if that's the case, I assume it just installs on top of the Extended ROM, so all of that stays intact. Is that correct?

Also: can AKUs be uninstalled?

Yes thats correct the ext rom stays intact. You can remove aku by just reinstalling original sprint rom, or any rom upgrade you have. all hard resets as far as i can remember

look for wideawake's custom rom 2.2 beta 2.0, its good enough to try for now. plus he gives u instructions on how to install amongst other things. hes been working on a beta 3(fixes bluetooth problems, minor errors, new menus, face uplift,etc), which might be coming out by the middle of next week (fingers crossed).
