the author has requested this program not be further distributed until he sorts out things on his end. it would be best to respect his wishes.

As scootle stated, there are some legal issues.

It is still out there to this day version 0.91 and you can d/l it...just need to find the right www out there.

If you have alot of time...."google it" and start going link by link.

I cannot point you to the www that works...hope you understand just respecting the wishes of the author.

Wow Im going to have to run over to XDA and check this out. Wonder why its not free anymore? Now we still cant post links cause they would be a warez violation. Ha

For people who don't want to walk over there here is what was said.
Chainfire says
Announcement, January 20, 2008

As of today, WMWifiRouter has become a commercial application. A new website has been launched at http://www.WMWifiRouter.com/ (including a mobile version) and the v0.95 TRIAL is immediately available.

I will not 'press release' this post, and be as frank as I can be with you guys:

This is one of the greatest communities out there in the vast expanse of cyberspace. Before anything else, I'd like to take this oppertunity to thank all of you for all the support I have gotten for all the things I have done, and everything all of you have done.

Back to WMWifiRouter, I would like you all to know that the definite decision to go commercial in this way did not happen until approximately 48 hours ago, since when the entire new site has been built and the software 'rebranded' (which is also why the support section isn't up yet). The three weeks downtime is not related to this move - and that's all I'm at liberty to say about that.

I would further like to point out that the donators and the beta team will be 'taken care of' (), and should expect email around the time the first final is released. Should you be left out in this group but do feel you should be included, drop me a line.

Re: WMWifiRouter

Is wifirouter still consider warez?

I wouldnt think so now that it is offical/public as in trial/price for consumer/corporate/reseller.

It never was warez. We didn't post links because the developer asked us not to. But now that its not freeware and you have to pay for it if we post links to it for free that would be warez kinda. We would be using a stolen App.

I would think the old, free version would still be free. I know I am not at all compelled to now pay for what I have already in hand for free, since it was given away for free by the developer.

It's always tricky when you want to go from giving away the crack to selling the crack - taking his site link off line and asking people to not post links under the bogus "legal problems" banner for a full month was a good play, I give him full points for creativity.

Bottom line, if you can find the old free cab, it should be just fine to use it. Try google. If the developer ends up adding additional features you want/need or if you want/need to give him (more) money, then go for the "commercial" version.

I'm a little unclear what he's selling though - registry settings? Patched Microsoft DLLs? A simple gui around those two?

Lsme420---During those times I too wouldnt post links and I give him many thanks and praise for wifirouther, but now that it is out there to buy, he is like a salesman looking for customers and we are leading customers to his product to try and maybe purchase, hey we should get a piece of the pie...kinda like working on commission....LOL ...just a figure of speach, more power to him. He has done wonders to the community and glad to see his hard work paying off.

schetthj---I also think the same way...since the trial/buy version starts on v.95 all other versions v.91 and below would be or should be free like before, there still is a www site where v.91 is free and can be d/l, so people get it free while you can just like a $1.00 or is it $2.00 "crack #@$%" 8)
