actually i don't hate him and if he wants to make money off of subsequent releases more power to him but the versions that were released as free should still be free
that said i do think that if he had any intentions of going commercial in the beginning he should have stated so as i know for a fact he is not the only one that put in work on this "free" project

Yep, indeed. If I hated him, I would write my own program, or redo the hacks as outlined over at xda.

Instead, I'll just see where he takes this program and what he's going to charge for it, and continue to use the free version he released until there is a compelling reason to upgrade.

As I said, I wish him all the best.

Multi-NAI / Tethering Detection
The NAI (Network Access Identifier) is used by many cellular carriers to identify whether the handset is accessing data on its own, or is tethered to another device such as a laptop. This option is enabled by default, which tells the handset to use a different NAI when tethering, you can turn this feature off:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\WModem]
"Multi-NAI"=dword:00000000

you can download it free, but it's a trial version. i wouldn't have a problem owning it for $10.
