Eternal Rom is full .....

My external rom saids that it is full....
Do I actually need all of the stuff in the external rom ?
How do I clean out the external rom, and do I have to flash or reload my phone again in the process ?
I have reloaded my phone several times and noticed that nothing gets
deleted out of the external rom....

Thanks...

Re: Eternal Rom is full .....

What phone and service do you have? If it is unlocked and you do not use the programs that your carrier supplies, then just select the files and delete them, I have done this before and it gave me about 8mg more space...it really doesn't clear up that much...
On second thought I would take all the files and just move them to ur computer

Re: Eternal Rom is full .....

...when ext_rom is unlocked, some programs save to there instead of to SD due to sloppy programming. The ext_rom is only about 10MB, so it fills up fairly quickly when this is occuring. Your best bet is going to be to keep your ext_rom locked under normal usage.

Normally, there's nothing on the ext_rom that you need, assuming you are using a custom rom. Since you've been saving stuff to it (hence the ext rom full message), you'll need to selectively delete.

Re: Eternal Rom is full .....

The question is what to delete without screwing up my phone and forcing me to flash it again....

Thanks...

Re: Eternal Rom is full .....

Personally, when I had this same problem I just reflashed my phone andleftthe extended ROM loscked and hidden the second time. I then went out andbought a 1gig SD card so that I wouldhave plenty of space to store my extra stuff.

I figured that over the longrun thingswoudl be simpler if I just left it as unused space.
