Cannot send/recieve SMS messages (Sprint) Help!!

every time I try sending a text message I get the following error...
a pop up saying "Your text message cannot be sent"
and a notification pop up at the bottom saying

"Text Messages Retry
*my message here*
Error Class : Teporary
Cause Code : SMS Org.D.

Message failed would you like to retry?"

and when I click yes, I get the same thing again.

So I keep wondering these questions....
Is this a problem with just my phone?
is it a problem with WM6?
Could it be because the phone was originally activated in another state? (I'm in florida and I believe the phone was used in california before I recieved it)

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!! CHEERS!!:occasion5:

Here goes.....
Here's some background...

I got the phone on ebay in early january, it appeared to have already been flashed with a custom rom (I don't think it ships with a legend of zelda splash screen and sounds haha)

I proceeded to activate phone with sprint. and I can send and receive calls just fine, at that point I hadn't tried texting yet but I do have it on my plan. So what I did next was flash it with the WM6 No junk rom and every time I try sending a text message I get the following error...

an error pop up saying "Your text message cannot be sent"
and a notification pop up at the bottom saying

"Text Messages Retry
*my message here*
Error Class : Teporary
Cause Code : SMS Org.D.

Message failed would you like to retry?"

I had that happen a few times before when I first switched to WM6. Did you try a soft reset?

I've tried a soft reset, hard reset and re-flashing the rom. This thing is driving me bonkers =(

Update* I've reverted back to the factory sprint rom http://www.utstar.com/pcd/downloads/...0_WWE_Ship.exe

The phone sends/recieves calls fine, but I get the exact same texting error. Anyone have any possible solutions?

Bump a bump a bump

I just got off the phone with sprint, I tried the factory reset via ## codes
and that didn't solve anything either....

Has no one else had this problem?

no suggestions or anything?

here are my guess solutions listed:

Make shure you check number at top of text message to see if it is a valid area code&number.

text thru native program.
if using stock rom, make shure U have extrom loaded.
If using modified rom, make shure U have specific customization codes for your carrier.
check your signal strength.
Try a text, not mms.
