Im thinking of upgrading to the 6800

I really like my 6700 especially after upgrading it to WM6 and all the tweaks in the kitchen.

But I'm sick of the size of the thing.

With the news that the new rom will support the GPS and faster net speeds has peaked my interest in the phone.

Are there any new phones on the horizon that will replace the 6800 (I want a full keyboard)?

There are always new phones on the horizon. Depends a lot on which carrier you have as to availability.

I am on Sprint.

I realize there are always new phones, but has there been a successor named to the 6800?

I like the touch but I feel I need the keyboard.

I'm with you on the 6800-lust with the announcement of EV-DO Rev.A and GPS support - the only thing I ask myself is: is GPS + faster speeds (evdo seems find to me on the 6700) worth the ~$400 upgrade? To me the answer is no - so I'll still be holding out hope that my 6700 somehow breaks and Sprint replaces it with a 6800

The 6800 just came out though..... I want something with more battery life, that's my issue. I don't think the 6800 will be much longer (without changing the form-factor. I have an ext. battery for the 6700 - works for days, but is huge)

I would consider the treo 700wx - but only wm5. I need wm6 - html email. For now, staying with the 6700, but if anyone had a suggestion.....
