Lotus Notes
Anyone sucessfully get Lotus Notes to work on your PPC 6700? I have successfully added Yahoo and Gmail but that's about it. I have Lotus Notes at work and don't see how I can get that on my PPC.

do you pay for yahoo mail? how did you get yahoo mail to work on the ppc?
|
No I don't pay for yahoo mail. Or at least I have not been charged yet since I just added it a couple weeks ago. I downloaded it from the Yahoo website, it's called Yahoo Go! Here is a link. It automatically sets it up for you after a few clicks and has step by step directions with screen shots.

If you pay for the Sprint PC Business Connection service ($15/month) or you could try 1 mo for free (that's what I'm doing-- call *2 to get that worked out). You download some s/w from the sprint site and install a piece on your pc that has notes on it, and install a piece on your ppc and it can sync up emails and calendar entries (through intercepted sms msgs, I suspect) even when not tethered via ActiveSync and you don't have to pay for the internet connection (vision) service even though it uses the #777 vision connection-- that's what they told me anyway. Seems to work well so far.

If you dont want pay for the sprint pcs business Connection service ($15/month). Try emoze as it is free or mail2web. I personally use emoze.

I use LapLink PDA Sync to sync with Notes.
http://www.laplink.com/pdasync/ it woks pretty well. But a perfect world would be one where Lotus Notes did not exist. |
