After flash, charging issue.

After flashing to a new WM6 rom, I now cannot charge except when connected to my computer?

Any ideas?

On the failed charges, are you using the 6700 charger that came with the phone or some other charger (even one that Sprint/Verizon/Whoever sold you)? Some choices you can make in the kitchen increase the standby power requirements. This MAY cause the the overall power to exceed some charger's max output current.

You could also have a partially failed flash since the charging is SW controlled.

I assume when you say "cannot charge" that the indicator light never changes when you plug it in? Try a different charger - some chargers don't behave quite like a stock charger, and though unlikely, perhaps your charger died coincidentaly at the same time as you flashed.

i find this weird as well. it happens to me too.
i use a lighter adapter->2 usb port device, to plug my apache up to.
sometimes it'll charge, sometimes not.. its weird.

The two primary factors affecting chargerate are: features turned on (like backlight and WIFI), and mA your charger will supply. Your PC will only supply about .5 mA, same as most cigarette lighter chargers. The stock charger is either .75 or 1, I don't recall which. If you are plugged in via USB to your PC, your backlight will be on, noticeably increasing your time to charge.

i found that mine will charge with a usb to wall adapter if it is under 40% but not anymore than that but on the pc it will charge any time and way faster

That's freaky. Your wall adapter probably has a very low mA output, and maybe even some intelligent charging circuitry.

its worls better when i use a razr charger im waiting on my phone to die to fully test
the charger is rated at 100-240v 50-60hz .15a and 5v at 850mA

That's more than enough to charge. Run acbPowerMeter on your PPC and see what it says for an average over 5-10 min.
