Corrupted ring tones should be removed when they are deleted from the phone. If they aren't, try pressing the reset button on your phone.

In which folders or directories would the corrupted ringtones be located so that I can go in and manually delete them...?

Is there a certain way to delete the corrupted ringtones other than manually when they are located in a directory ?

Thanks...

I've actually saved my own ringtones in MP3 format at 22,050 Hz, 8 Bit. A 30 second clip takes up 250k.

I am trying to use these steps given for the ringtones. I recently had a 6600 and I had no problem creating ringtones. Now I upgraded to the 6700 and I try to do it and it is not the same. When I go to drag and drop the files, there is no windows folder so i cant get to rings. But on the device it show the windows and rings folder. Kinda confused, please help

I've used "myxer tones" as well, and love it, i've put about 12 ringers on my ppc6700 and havent had any problem at all both by downloading from the computer then syncing them and also from the phones internet connection itself. I dont know why anyone else had any problem with the site, i found it super easy and bam bam done stuff. I can also change any song they have available to get the cut i want from it and their varity is fantastic. I even found Greek songs there, and believe me, its not easy finding Greek ringtones!!

'Setting" the ringtone is not the issue of most but rather "adding" the ringtone.

Thats likely because you do not have your window viewing settings setup correct on the device. On your PC go to (in Windows Explorer) Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> and then place a dot next to "Show Hidden Files and Folders" and while youre there you might as well "Hide Extentions For Known File Types". Then you will be able to see your Windows folder in ActiveSync.

That totally depends on where you saved them or copied them to. There is no other way to delete them other than manually which means either going to the folder on the PPC and clicking and holding and deleting or doing the same in AS.

So I can use MP3 and not just wav? Can I assign the ringer folder to a folder on the flash card so I do not have to leave them in the internal memory? Confirmed mp3 seems to work just fine. Just need to know if I can move ringer folder to flash card :-) BTW the mp3 trimmer for the ppc is a really nice little app :-)

it is recomended "NOT" to have ringtones on the storage card...due to delay for card to wakeup play all that stuff......phone might start to freeze, just keep them short.

Oh I always chop them to 30 seconds silly to go longer since the phone will only ring for 23 seconds anyway :-) (max most of the time less) I also use them for tv theme trivia so I use 30 seconds. I was not aware of the mem card delay issue. Its not a space thing its a if it crashes thing if there all on the mem card anyway nothing to restore :-) but its not a big deal.
