Need help, 2 problems on my phone (Palm SMS + Vision prob)

I am currently having two issues with my PPC-6700.

1) When I use Palm SMS Messaging, it sometimes depending on the receiver takes up to 2 minutes before the person on the other end receives the text message. With other people, it will work just as quick as it normally would.

2) Sometimes after leaving the 6700 idle in my pocket, then trying to access the internet, I will get an error saying that the modem at #777 did not answer. I then have to soft reset the phone, or turn the phone radio off and then back on. This did not start happening until I did some of the tweaks in the registry tweak page.

Any help would be appreciated.

go to start>settings>phone

under phone, tap on the services tab. go to internet and then tap on "get settings..."

from there click start to initiate IOTA and let it work its magic.

hopefully that'll fix your internet problem.

I just did the new ROM update and I am having a similar problem. When I try to connect to the Internet a popup shows:

CONNECTING TO: SPRINT PCS VISION
USING: CELLULAR LINE
Dialing #777

Then after the page shows up I get a popup showing:

CANNOT CONNECT
The answering modem has disconnected. To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap settings.

When I try the IOTA I get an error code that disappears too quickly for me to read (looks like error 101), and then another popup that shows:

CANNOT CONNECT
The remote party has ended this connection.

Every one in a while I would get a message that says something about disconnecting the phone???

The wierd thing is that sometimes the first couple pages I try will connect in the background while the popups are there.
I also have the threaded text messaging on the phone, but it wasn't a problem before I did the ROM update...

1. Could just be the network, I've seen this sometimes with low signal.

2. this is a issue I have personally dealt with and still do rarely. I don't have the threaded sms installed any longer so its not it. And it happended before the rom update. So I'm not sure what is causing it or why....just have to deal with a soft reset as of now.

After reading this for the first time I am getting this message too

I have full bars and I cannot connect and I tried IOTA and it gave me that quick pop up also ..


Lets see what a soft reset can do ...

Did you try that tweak to change the number of connections? That's when it started happening for me...
