Using VoIP with WM6 ???
 

I notice the voIP setup thingy with the WM6 kitchen..

1) Does it work
2) can I use my Gizmo account with it?
3) How do you dial / accept calls with it? Does it use the same dialer as the telephone part?

Kinda basic questions I know - but haven't played with this feature yet...

My experience with it has been that it's almost there, but not yet. In one version I had it working with my Asterisk system at work, but the volume only came out of the rear speaker or a headset, and when it came through the headset, it was too quiet to use. Since then I've reflashed, and I've never been able to get it to register with my server again. I haven't worked too hard on it because I know it doesn't yet work well enough to make it worth my time.

Not familiar with Gizmo, but if they follow the SIP protocol, it shouldn't be a problem.

As far as dialing goes, it has options to a) never place (outbound) calls over VOIP b) Whenever Available c)Except nights and weekends d)Only if cell is not available. It does have the option to enable VOIP over 3g. It does not, however, have the option to choose on a call by call basis. The above settings are made in the configuration page.
